My long-form essay, Warsaw, is published in Eckleburg No. 22, a literary and arts journal that publishes both emerging and celebrated voices. Warsaw tells the intergenerational story of my grandmother and mother, who made harrowing choices to survive post-war Germany. Their resilience became a blueprint for my own survival, which began at the precise moment I stood before Michelangelo’s Pietà at the New York World’s Fair in Flushing, Queens. This edition of Eckleburg curates a beautiful mix of traditional and genre-bending creative nonfiction, poetry, art, and fiction—I’m thrilled to share space in its pages! Right now it’s available on Amazon, but Barnes and Noble will soon follow. No matter what obstacles we face these days (and there are many!), a multiplicity of diverse voices is surely a beautiful thing.
